Mind - Matter Research
23% reduction in crime-rate in Washington D.C. correlated to meditation (1993)
A group of scientists hypothesized on the basis of previous research that 4000 Transcendental meditators could impact the level of violent crime over the course of 8 weeks in the District of Columbia. They found that there was a highly significant decrease in violent crime during the timeframe of the study.
Global Coherence Initiative
Organization under the umbrella of the HeartMath Institute. They are studying the hypothesis that collective human emotions are reflected in the earth’s field; that changes in the earth’s field can predict earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and similar planetary scale events; and that groups of people in heart coherence can affect the earth’s field. And just how do they define the earth's field, you ask? Fascinating question -- check out their site for more info.
Global Consciousness Project
For 12 years has studied the impact of significant global events on random number generators. When a great event synchronizes the feelings of millions of people, they've observed changes in the random numbers that could only occur with a probability of less than one in a billion that the effect is due to chance. The evidence suggests a collective field of consciousness exists, and that large-scale group consciousness has effects in the physical world. Sounds crazy, but fascinating research!
Consciousness, Information and Living Systems (PDF)
2005 article by Jahn & Dunne about the possibility of a proactive role for consciousness in the establishment of physical reality
International Consciousness Research Laboratories
Focuses on the exploration of the role of consciousness in physical reality.
Foundation for Conscious Evolution (Barbara Marx Hubbard)
While not specifically a scientific research organization, Hubbard's Foundation studies how to navigate through this transitional period to the next stage of human evolution.
Some Fascinating Books on these topics:

Lynne McTaggert, The Field
McTaggart, an investigative journalist, describes scientific discoveries that she believes point to a unifying concept of the universe, one that reconciles mind with matter, classic Newtonian science with quantum physics and, most importantly, science with religion.
Radiant Minds: Scientists Explore the Dimensions of Consciousness
Fifty-five scientists have contributed amazing results from their years of research to this anthology of the Parapsychology Research Group (PRG). Their professional disciplines inclulde physics, remote viewing, medicine, psychology, anthropology, shamanism, philosophy, spiritual healing, unidentified aerial phenomena, and some provide suggestions for the future of education. A few of the authors included are: Dean Radin, PhD, Russell Targ, Stanley Krippner, PhD, Charles Tart, PhD, Stanislav Grof, MD, PhD, Sasha Shulgin, PhD, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, Roger Nelson, PhD, and Jean Millay, PhD.

Brian Talbot, The Holographic Universe
Author Talbot writes that ". . . there is evidence to suggest that our world and everything in it. . . are also only ghostly images, projections from a level of reality so beyond our own it is literally beyond both space and time." Hence, the title of his book. Beginning with the work of physicist David Bohm and neurophysiologist Karl Pribram, both of whom independently arrived at holographic theories or models of the universe, Talbot explains in clear terms the theory and physics of holography and its application, both in science and in explanation of the paranormal and psychic. His theory of reality accommodates this latest thinking in physics as well as many unresolved mind-body questions. This well-written and fascinating study is recommended for science collections. - Hilary D. Burton, Lawrence Livermore National Lab., Livermore, Cal.
Jahn & Dunne, Consciousness and the Source of Reality
Brand new book summarizing their life's work by the original Princeton University researchers who studied the interactions between mind and matter at the PEAR lab (Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research).
