Global Breathwork Day 2011

June 11th, 2011 has been declared the first-ever Global Breathwork Day. Come join us and help build a "quantum wave of breathwork" traveling around the world's time zones.
If a large group of meditators may have the potential to affect a 23% reduction in the crime rate in Washington D.C. over the course of months, imagine what influence tens of thousands of people around the globe doing breathwork together could have.
For years, those of us who have been involved in the Holotropic community have personally observed a significant number of interesting, synchronistic events that appear to occur when Stan Grof has put on large workshops (of a hundred or more breathers) in cities over the last few decades. So, what if we do this on a global level? Nobody knows — we've never tried it. But this coming June 11th, we will try, for the very first time.
We've even got two organizations who specialize in tracking whether the construct of interconnected consciousness can be scientifically validated on board to monitor whether shifts in consciousness on June 11! Four June 11 Holotropic Breathwork Workshops Scheduled in the Pacific Northwest
Here in the Northwest, workshops are being planned for June 11th in four different locations in an effort to bring this opportunity to as many people as possible.

Worldwide Sharing
AHBI will also be setting up a Global Breathwork Sharing Page on their website. This will allow all participants to share their breathwork experience online with thousands of others from all around the world, the very next day. You'll have the opportunity to scan in and upload your mandalas to this global sharing page. You'll be able to browse through mandalas from fellow breathers in Canada, Russia, Australia, India, Dubai, Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, South Africa, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, and many other countries.

As part of the Global Breathwork Day, in part as a celebration of Stan Grof's 80th birthday this year, and Cristina Grof's 70th birthday, Wisdom University, and the Association for Holotropic Breathwork International (AHBI) will be sponsoring a 6-week-long live teleseminar series hosted by Stan Grof, with weekly guests including Cristina Grof, Jack Kornfield, Richard Tarnas, Angeles Arrien, Michael Harner, David Lukoff and other major contributors to the field of Transpersonal Psychology. Global Breathwork Day will take place in the middle of the Teleseminar.
